Bubblegum Crash Synopsis Episode 1 - Illegal Army
The Bubblegum Crash series starts off with a group of powered armoured criminals breaking into the Glory bank. After easily wasting the Bank's guard Boomers, the group makes its may into the bank's vault where they start their raiding, then having looted the bank the criminals make their way successfully to their escape vehicle, an armoured cleaning van, parked out front. Not that they appear to be going anywhere though, as the AD Police have shown up surrounding the vehicle with a full mobile force. The AD Police shoot the hell out of the armoured van, but without armour piercing rounds and air support the AD Police can only watch as the criminals escape using a VS-710 Dropper flown in by another criminal member. Leon lets the AD Police's new Chief have an ear full of it before finally ending up begging for K-17 powered suit support. Leon is issued one! Chief Todo's replacement is a corporate bureaucrat hired to improve the AD Police's current well known city destructive image. Due to the new Chief's background in advertising this has worked, but a little too well. With little or no armour piercing rounds, practically no mechs and rookies being hired who don't even have a clue as to what the word combat means, it's no wonder that the AD Police has become a joke. But there's nothing Leon and Daley can do except to watch on shamefully as the AD Police continues to soak up the punishment dished out by the crime ridden streets of Mega Tokyo. To add to the city's problems, it would appear that the Knight Sabers have disbanded. Priss is busy pursuing her dream of becoming a professional singer, likewise with Linna who is now working in a stock market, lured by big sums of cash, and Sylia has just disappeared. This leaves Nene looking on in despair as the AD Police and the Knight Sabers fall apart. She tries to motivate Priss and Linna into helping her solve the recent spree of bank robberies but they're just too preoccupied with pursuing their fantasies. The attackers strike again, however, this time Leon confronts the group's commander in a K-17. It's not enough though, up against a more experienced fighter equipped with superior weaponry results in Leon taking another bashing. Again the criminals escape. Fortunately though things start to look up as Sylia gets in contact with Nene requesting a team meeting. Apparently Sylia's been off upgrading the team's Hard suits as well as modifying her shop come secret base, though during the team's absence from the law enforcement scene, requests for their help has been piling up. Sylia's team have been hired by the Zone corporation, fearing that they're the next target, to stop the criminals who've been raiding the city's banks. It turns out that the group of mercenaries, the Illegal Army, aren't interested in stealing gold at all, this is a front covering their real intentions; the theft of a next generation AI chip split into four parts guarded by several banks. The Illegal Army, lead by Colonel Lando killed in action and brought back to life as a cyborg, now possess three parts of the chip, all they require now is the fourth held by the Zone corporation.Bad news for Linna, Lando's last raid has caused shares in Omni to drop by over 200 points landing her in it up to her neck, now she wants out of her new job and so resigns. Priss's luck is no better either, she finds out that her manager has been using her in that he wants to turn Priss into an idol type singer, of course this is the last thing an independent, high spirited and own opinionated individual like Priss wants and so ditches him. Deciding that they've had enough, both Priss and Linna join Sylia and Nene on the latest mission. Sylia's exchanged the final piece of the AI chip with a fake and is planning to ambush Colonel Lando in action. Sure enough Lando and his squad fall for it and end up in an explosive confrontation with the Knight Sabers. Lando isn't the type to give up without a fight though, especially when his cyborg body still has a few nasty tricks to play. But who'd bring a Colonel killed in action back to life to steal a next generation AI chip anyway, why not steal it themselves, and just what do they intend on doing with this technology? Episode 2 - Geo Climbers
Deep within Geo City the first ever second generation Boomer, Adama, has just been created by Dr. Haynes and his associates based on the research carried out by the late Dr. Stingray whom Dr. Haynes worked, and became close friends, with during their development of the first ever Boomer. Since Dr. Stingray's unfortunate death, Dr. Haynes promised Sylia that he would someday fulfil her father's dreams; the creation of a Boomer that man can call an ally. With Adama now completed, Haynes has invited along Dr. Yuri, who also once worked alongside Dr. Stingray, to view for himself the finished prototype. It doesn't work out this way, however, as Dr. Yuri also brings along some uninvited friends, a squad of terrorist Boomers who at Yuri's command gun down Haynes and his associates in cold blood before making off with Adama. Yuri has other plans for Adama's ground breaking new AI, such as reprogramming it with an offensive manor and installing it into his latest giant of a battle Boomer, the EM-302 Iron Lizard. With such an AI the Iron Lizard would be near unstoppable. Yuri's boss, the same individual responsible for issuing the Illegal Army's orders, also has a keen interest in the new AI. With all the evidence pointing to Adama having killed the technicians, the AD Police open a murder investigation and set about tracking Adama down, meanwhile Sylia starts up her own investigation realising Adama wasn't programmed for killing and hence a victim of a setup. With all the past Boomer killings she's witnessed, Priss has lost faith in Dr. Stingray's dream that Boomers can be anything like humans, yet still agrees to assist Sylia, reluctantly, in proving Adama's innocence. Yuri fails to appreciate the capabilities of Adama's AI which leads to the Boomer's escape. Now Adama is headed towards Geo City where he was created where he intends to download all his data, which includes footage of Yuri issuing Haynes's death. Yuri took the security disk from the lab but didn't realise that the incident was recorded by Adama, now Adama intends to clear his name and shed light on those responsible for the death of his creator. Unimpressed by the whole affair, Yuri's boss orders the immediate recapture of Adama at any cost. Yuri works out where Adama's headed and so sends his terrorist Boomers to drag him back, of course Yuri didn't intend on Priss, who's lost out at rock / paper / scissors finding herself patrolling the sewers under Yuri's lab, finding Adama first. Now Priss finds herself being the target of a manhunt whilst trying to get Adama safely to Sylia, Adama would rather go to Geo City instead though, and so Sylia arranges to meet up with the two there. After surviving countless firefights with Yuri's Boomers, Priss and Adama finally make it to Geo City, there, however, they are greeted by the Iron Lizard remotely piloted by Yuri marking the beginning of the end of Priss's bad day. Fortunately for Priss, by this time driven insane by Adama's constant small talk, Nene and Linna show up in their Hard suites to take on the EM-302. Priss uses this opportunity to get Adama to the Knight Wing but Adama is snatched from her whilst boarding. The Iron Lizard then opens fire on the Knight Wing though misses the mark resulting in debris crashing down on itself and Adama. Nene and Linna can't take out Yuri's Boomer which survived the falling debris unscratched, therefore Priss heads out, with her latest Hard suit add on, to try and rescue an injured Adama. But even if Priss does succeed in destroying the Iron Lizard, it may already be too late for her new found friend. Episode 3 - Melt Down
The AD Police suddenly find themselves working chronic overtime as the average number of Boomer rampages within the city takes a sudden increase. In fact Melt Down starts off with one such incident at a construction site where all the site construction Boomers suddenly turn on the foreman and start tearing the place apart. Fortunately the AD Police are called in and manage to take out all the Boomers, though Leon and Daley are worried that the situation could worsen, they prey that the military Boomers aren't affected with what appears to be a virus. Their fears come true, however, as three military BU-12B advanced battle Boomers break out of their containment and head off to AD Police HQ intent on destroying the place, and if this weren't enough, the AD Police's guard Boomers have just turned nasty opening fire on the building. While all this is taking place, Sylia is discussing the latest developments with the other Knight Sabers. Apparently someone's got their hands on the new AI and is using it to hack Boomer brains forcing them to carry out certain tasks. Mackie, now studying at a University in Germany, has developed an antivirus, with the help of an old Dr. friend of his father's, and is sending it immediately to Sylia. She doesn't have time to come up with a plan, however, as word of the AD Police HQ assault is shown on an emergency broadcast prompting her to dispatch the team. Leon, in his K-17 powered suit, is finding the three BU-12B advanced battle Boomers to be a handful, but when the Knight Sabers turn up to take care of the situation forgoes the fight he to give Daley a hand with the guard Boomers. With the aid of the Knight Sabers the AD Police soon have things back under control, that is until the ground starts shaking. A fusion Boomer equipped with the new AI is directing all the Boomers in Mega Tokyo towards the Central Data Bank building where it is fusing with each one gaining their knowledge and experience. The fusion Boomer has now got to the state where it has formed one huge entity on the side of the Central Data Bank building and is starting to fuse with adjacent buildings in an attempt to absorb all of Mega Tokyo. The Knight Sabers track the disturbance to the source where they find the, now huge, fusion Boomer. The Boomer tries to fuse with the Knight Wing but is destroyed in the process by the Knight Wing's Beam Cannon coupled with the use of Mackie's antivirus. The team don't get long to bask in their merits, however, as a series of explosions suddenly take place in the direction Tokyo bay, home to Tokyo's atomic plant, which can only mean bad news for the inhabitants of Mega Tokyo. It turns out that all the recent events were merely distractions aimed to keep the Knight Sabers occupied whilst the real culprit is at work driving a Brum-Bar nuclear powered underground drilling machine straight towards the atomic plant! Realising this, Leon, Daley and the Knight Sabers race off to the atomic plant in an attempt to head off the maniac before the crazed individual levels Mega Tokyo. The Knight Sabers are the first to arrive at the scene on top of the massively oversized drilling machine where they find a surprise install for them. Three Largos stand on top of the Brum-Bar! Largo's still alive and has made duplicates of his brain with the new AI and installed them into the latest battle Boomers. The Boomers tear of their disguises and confront the Knight Sabers whilst the real Largo, within the Brum-Bar, continues to pilot the killing machine on its kamikaze mission. Sylia heads off to find the real Largo leaving the others to take care of his battle Boomers. It won't be easy for them though, as Largo's Boomers are now familiarised with their expected style of fighting due to his previous confrontations with the armoured vigilantes. Deep within the Brum-Bar Sylia finds Largo sustained within a life support tank. She opens fire on the life support systems, but instead destroys Largo's holographic cloak revealing his mutilated true appearance, after which she takes off part of his head due to him failing to recall his Boomers, currently making short work of the others up top. This doesn't help though, as Largo retaliates by fusing with Sylia's mind effectively paralysing her meanwhile subjecting the other's suffer to the same fate. With Largo in control of the Knight Sabers, and Leon and Daley unable to shut down the reactor the situation looks bad. One thing's for sure, if the Brum-Bar hits its target then Mega Tokyo will be in for a convenient cure to its over crowding population problem. |
